Fashionable Books

Yesterday I was on trip to the Textilemuseum in Tilburg. It was obviously an arranged trip from Amfi and we had several workshops where we learned about knitting, weaving, and all other kinds of using fabrics to create a product.

The most interessting thing was to know that all those machines are being used by students and artists to experiment in creating now fabrics, patterns and structures. For example, a name you might know: Jan Taminiau. But it also opens doors for us, the new generation.

In the giftshop I found this amazing book about knitting. It has gorgeous photo’s which are very inspirational and I just had to share this with you. The author combined pictures from nature and translated them to a knittingpattern.
